Cleaning coins after Katrina; no-slip ramps

Q. I have what I call dirty Katrina coins, filthy and mostly green after being soaked for many days in Katrina flood waters. The bank will no longer take the coins until they are cleaned. I soaked the coins ($800 worth!) in straight bleach for a week, to no avail. But a lot of totally green pennies came out as good as new when I soaked them in Louisiana hot sauce (with Tabasco). I have cleaned some of the silver coins with an electric wire brush, but it involves working with one coin at a time. Any ideas?...
