A popular question from readers is: "Where do I report a new find?" The answer is probably more complex than you realize. Nor is it particularly logical.
For example, a significant number of discoveries are reported first to the U.S. Mint, with the expressed intention of selling it back to the Mint. To avoid any hurt feelings, I'm not going to comment further, other than to say that the Mint is probably the last place on earth you would go with a new variety....
