One of the joys of having a career focused around reporting on the hobby is the chance to handle rarities that unless you're a high-powered dealer or a well-healed collector you might not otherwise get the chance to examine up close. Along those lines, I've had occasion to hold such coins as the 1913 Liberty Head nickel, several examples of the 1804 silver dollar, and other classics in the U.S. coin field....
